Running uphill takes more time (trading days) and more effort (watts).
The Financial Fitness Machine (FFM) is designed around a construct of the first three prime numbers 2, 3, and 5.
It's fall 2023. I'm on a treadmill during the trading day looking at my portfolio.
nVIDIA has been rising substantially all year.
At that moment, $NVDA was up 235% year-to-date!
A glance at the treadmill dashboard showed I was walking at 10.0 degrees of incline.
I had never tried higher, so I ticked-up the incline...15, ...20, ...25!!!
It was manageable, but brisk at the 3.0mph pace.
Math brain kicked in and down-ticked to 23.5 degrees.
The logic being each 10% up for NVDA was 1.0 degree of incline.
I looked over at my friend on a nearby treadmill to say "I'm doing the nVIDIA!"
He saw I was smiling and talking so took his AirPods off.
I repeated that I was doing the nVIDIA workout at 23.5 degrees.
He laughed and asked why I was going so slow!
2.0 miles per hour was my pace, so I checked my watts on the dashboard.
I was fluctuating near 170-175 watts.
I took the dare to go faster at 23.5 degrees while watching watts.
2.1, 2.2, 2.3mph and I got over 200 watts.
I was able to briefly go above the 3.0mph, but a little less speed led to this.
2.5mph, 23.5 degrees generating 235watts!

The rest of the story involves the creation of Financial Fitness
Hence, you can now FEEL a stock's volatility
This is only the beginning of the story. Let's talk watts!
If most can ride a stationary bike one mile in 5 minutes 32 seconds, most cyclists can do it in 3min25sec. So, whether you can do a mile in 3min, are you up for trying to achieve a 2min35sec mile? :)
Stocks are like workout segments not just in the number of time "blocks", but in discrete goals / accomplishments in each. At the SWE, these are measured in peak/avg watts for each block, which also has it's own duration to reach each goal. The result is, you FEEL LIKE the stock as measured by your BPM.
All treadmills go up 10 degrees of incline, and your stock doubles in 10 months, you have an easy to mimic 10 minute workout rising 1.0degree each min of a 10 minute workout.
If yours treadmill rises to 25 degrees, your stock chart can have a peak of 250% peak. If 235%, you will see the future at 23.5 degrees.
But, at what MPH should you run and for what duration?
The FFM algorithm uses a 2/3/5 construct to determine 235-532 peak watts (and 22-55 avg) for chART segments.
